Who we areM+S Studio Co. Ltd. is a boutique Architecture and Interior Design practice based in Cebu, Philippines, founded in 2013 by Marvin and Sheryl — partners in life and in design, specializing in creating tropical, nature-integrated spaces for residences, resorts, hospitality, and thoughtful developments.
What began as a young practice shaped by small commissions has grown into a studio trusted with residences, resorts, hospitality & commercial spaces, and thoughtful developments. Over the years, our work has evolved alongside our own journey, expanding not only in scale, but in depth, sensitivity, and purpose. For us, design is never only about aesthetics. It is about shaping spaces that elevate daily life, support wellbeing, and create a deeper connection to place. |

Our JourneyA turning point in our practice came when, after years in the profession, we stepped away from the pace of work and retreated to the mountains of Alhibe Farm. In that pause, and in reconnecting with nature, we found a renewed clarity in how we wanted to design.
This led us to study Permaculture Design in Bali in 2018 and Bamboo Design and Construction in 2019 — experiences that deepened our understanding of land, space, and the role of nature in everyday wellbeing. Since then, our work has been shaped by a more intentional perspective: creating spaces that invite light, air, openness, and a stronger connection to place. Through our ongoing stewardship of Alhibe Farm, we continue to explore what it means to build with nature rather than against it. |

We are a boutique studio by choice, allowing us to remain hands-on and closely involved in every project. Each commission is approached as a unique response to its client, context, and aspirations — carefully considered, never formulaic. From private homes to destination developments, we create spaces with character, clarity, and a lasting sense of place.

Our ApproachOur approach is guided by quiet observation and careful response. We begin by understanding the land, the light, the climate, and the rhythms of those who will inhabit the space. From there, architecture and interiors are shaped with restraint, clarity, and intention.
We do not design from formula. Each project is developed as its own response: informed by context, grounded in function, and refined through material, proportion, and atmosphere. The result is work that feels personal, timeless, and deeply connected to place. While each project takes its own form, our approach remains constant: to create environments that are refined, deeply personal, and meaningful beyond appearance. |
